The following are the announcements for the week of April 13:

Scent Request

Some in our church family have sensitivities to scents and chemicals. For the health and consideration of others, we’d like to ask everyone to please use unscented hygiene and cosmetic products on Sunday mornings. Thank you for your consideration. 

Save the Dates: Holy Week

  • Good Friday Services - This Friday (April 18) at 9am & 11am
  • Youth Event: No Other Name (Grades 7-12) - This Friday (April 18) from 2-10pm. Celebrate Good Friday with us, together with youths from other churches in the Ottawa region! There will be worship, preaching, workshops and fellowship. For more details & to sign up, click here. Tickets ($40/ student) are limited (dinner, snacks and activities are included). We can arrange rides if needed! Don't let the cost stop you! We have sponsors who can make it possible for you to come. =)
  • Easter Sunday Services – This Sunday (April 20) at 9am & 11am

Baptisms: If you are interested in getting baptized this Easter Sunday, please talk to one of our pastors or sign up at calvarybaptistchurch.ca/baptism.

Parking

  • Please be aware of the “no stopping” signs after the school parking on Evelyn Ave. People have been ticketed.
  • Also, please be aware of not parking in other churches' parking lots. Thanks!

Upcoming Wedding/ Baby Showers

  • Celine’s Bridal Shower: TODAY (April 13) from 1-3pm  - Ladies are invited to celebrate the bride-to-be, Celine Fernandes, as she prepares for her marriage to Jeff Wong! Join us for fellowship over tea & treats, games, and prayer for Celine. We’re Hiring! Pastoral Assistant (Temporary) & Office Administrator

We are looking for some positions to fill at Calvary:

  • Pastoral Assistant (Temporary): to cover some pastoral duties (from May -August) during Pastor Kenny’s sabbatical. Please apply by April 23, 2025.
  • Office Administrator: to assist the pastoral staff in various office duties at Calvary, starting August 1. Please apply by May 31, 2025.

Clothing Donation Request From Safe Families

If anyone has girls 2T & boys 5T spring & summer clothes; and toddler size 7 girls running shoes & sandals, please contact Carmen Choueiry.

Volunteers Needed- Kitchen, Prayer Team, Nursery, Gardening (Temporary for Spring), and Security & Elevator Operation

We are particularly in need of volunteers! If you are interested in serving on any of these teams, sign up at calvarybaptistchurch.ca/serve.

Small Groups

  • We’ve got regular and special focused small groups during the weeks! Check out calvarybaptistchurch.ca/smallgroups for more information: schedules, availability, registration, and  the waiting list. For any questions, contact our small group director, Adam Lim.
  • Thursday Morning Prayer Small Group: “Prayer is the real work of the ministry. Service is just gathering in the results of prayer.” (S.D. Gordon)
